My most essential hardware is my Technivorm Moccamaster (KB 741) coffee brewer—so crucial! Making myself an aromatic cup of coffee with full flavour is my first stop every morning.

I have recently shelled out a bag of cash on an elegant, quiet, all-in-one computer, and I have zero regrets—it's a beast!

CPU: According to my System window, I have a whopping 3.6GHz 8-Core Intel 'Coffee Lake' Core i9 (9900K) with 16MB level 3 cache; supporting Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz.

RAM: OWC 64GB (four 16GB modules) of 2666MHz PC4-21300 DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMMs (260-pin).

GPU: AMD Radeon Pro 580X with 8GB of dedicated GDDR5 video RAM

Storage: 1TB Apple SSD (PCI-Express Internal Physical Disk). In terms of backup and storage, I use a bunch of hard drives—both single desktop drives and multi-bay RAIDs—to back up stuff very redundantly. I have no faith in any drives, NONE, neither should you. However, I love G-Technology.

Display: I have a beautiful, height-adjustable modern stand (Twelve South HiRise) to boost my 27" LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen TFT active matrix 'Retina 5K' display with IPS technology, a native resolution of 5120x2880, a 'wide color' DCI-P3 gamut, and brightness of 500 nits.

Keyboard/Mouse: I use a one-piece keyboard/trackpad combo (Twelve South MagicBridge), designed specifically to work with the new Apple Magic Keyboard and Trackpad 2. And am going to start using Wacom Intuos Pro any day now.

Operating System: macOS Catalina 10.15.3
